Raymond Joseph Hurilla, Sr., 78, entered into eternal life on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Gilberton, PA, son of the late Roman and Pauline (Lisachuk) Hurilla, he was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Raymond retired in 1988 from White Westinghouse in Metuchen where he was a forklift operator. He was a faithful communicant of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his daughter Maria Hurilla on March 7, 2004; brothers, Steven Hurilla, Harry Hurilla, Charles Hurilla, John Hurilla, Michael Hurilla; sister, Ann and her husband, John Stelmack; sisters-in-laws, Vanda and Faye; and brothers-in-law, Charles Risko and Peter Hrinko.
Raymond leaves behind his beloved wife Adele (Petrusky) Hurilla with whom he joined hands in marriage on May 31, 1958; loving children, Raymond and Denise Hurilla, Jr. of Lewiston, ME, Michael and Tracy Hurilla of Port Leyden, NY, Vincent and Cheryl Hurilla of Hillsborough, and Joseph Hurilla of Manville; dear siblings, brother, Peter and his wife, Dorothy Hurilla and sister, Mary Hrinko. He will be deeply missed by five cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Cody, Dylan, Lyndsay and Ethan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, October 18, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, October 19 from 9-9:30 a.m.
Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, October 19 beginning 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
