Manville, NJ- Aaron "Ernie" G. Abood Jr., 77, entered into eternal life on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. Born in Manville, son of the late Aaron Sr. and Fannie (Trilone) Abood, Ernie resided in Manville all of his life.

Ernie faithfully served our country as a Corporal in the United Sates Army, 4th Infantry Division, during the Korean War. He also served with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, was a Life member of VFW Post #2290 in Manville and a member of the American Legion Post #304 also of Manville. Ernie owned and operated American Auto Body in Manville for many years until his retirement.

Ernie leaves behind two dear sisters Evelyn Barnish of Hillsborough and Marie Gallagher of Littleton, CO; five loving children: James Abood of Holmdel, NJ, Joseph Abood of Fort Royal, VA, Irene Good of Reynoldsville, PA, Lorraine Abood of Jackson, NJ and her mother Marilyn of Manville, Christine Abood of Manville and her mother Theresa. He will be deeply missed by his eight grandchildren, great grandson, three stepchildren and six step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 beginning 8:30 a.m. from Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. At the family's request disposition will be private.
