Obituary

Manville, NJ- Alphonse A. Jasinski, 76, entered eternal life on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ. Born in Shamokin, PA, son of the late Anthony and Rose (Ziemba) Jasinski, he has been a resident of Manville since 1959.

Alphonse was a graduate of Shamokin High School and attained many different certifications throughout his lifetime, but was most proud of his red seal certification. He was a faithful communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Church) in Manville. He was a boiler operator with Johns Manville in Manville prior to dedicated employment as a Red Seal boiler operator with Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ. Alphonse was a founder of the Knights of Columbus St. Jude Council #6573 in Manville, he was a member of Johns Manville Quarter Century Club, and he coached both Pop Warner and Little League in Manville. He enjoyed golfing, was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan, but his passion was for cooking for his family.

Alphonse is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Vivian (Bartos) Jasinski with whom he joined hands in marriage on October 3, 1959; five loving children, Rosalie Jasinski, Cathy and her husband Bruce Lukens, Lea Sura, Steven Jasinski, and Jennifer and her husband Jeffrey Sanders; dear siblings, Theresa Malafi and Theodore Jasinski and his wife Theresa. He will be deeply missed by nine cherished grandchildren, Steven, Randy and his significant other Madeline, Sara and her fiancé Eric, Bruce and his significant other Courtney, Brenna, Anna Lee, Jake, Kate, and Rian; four adored great grandchildren, Olivia, Gabe, Eric and Kayla; and nieces Teresa and Mary Ann and nephew Ted and his wife Deb.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22 at 9:00 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart) in Manville.

A memorial visitation will take place at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, October 22 from 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alphonse's name to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
