Independence Township, NJ- Andy Francis Barnosky, 85, entered into eternal life suddenly on Monday, August 5, 2013 at his home. Born in Grasshill, PA, son of the late Andrew and Rose (Toth) Barnosky, he lived in New Brunswick, settled to Manville after marriage and became a resident of Hackettstown in 1996.
Andy was honorably discharged as Corporal after faithfully serving his country in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War. After forty years of dedicated service to ER Squibb & Sons in New Brunswick, Andy retired as a lab technician. A communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville, Andy was an avid reader and he enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Mary (Zdeb) Barnosky who passed away May 8, 1994, his son Kenneth Barnosky and two siblings; brother Alex Barnosky and sister Thais Gesicki.
Andy leaves behind his loving children; Richard and Sharon Barnosky of Phillipsburg and Rosemary and Rick Curley of Hackettstown. He will be deeply missed by his three cherished grandchildren; Eric, Scott, and Zachary.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, August 7 from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday, August 8 from 8:00-8:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 8 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
