Obituary

Somerset, NJ – After her long and valiant battle with PLS, Annamma (nee Keezhachery) Dogra, 81, passed peacefully on the afternoon of Friday, February 3, 2023 at Sarasota Memorial in North Venice, FL.
Born in Kerala, India, daughter of the late Mathai and Saramma (nee Valankot) Keezhachery, she immigrated to the United States of America in 1969. Annamma resided in Fanwood, NJ for twenty-eight years before settling in Somerset.
As a young girl, Annamma sang for her school choir and received many awards for her beautiful singing voice. She then pursued nursing and spent over forty years in the field, retiring in 2007 from Runnells Specialized Hospital in Berkley Heights, NJ. Annamma loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Her home was a place of warmth and her heart generous and giving. She believed in helping anyone in need and her kind spirit was evident in everything she did. Annamma enjoyed gardening and taking long walks. She found immense joy spending time with her dearest friends and staying in touch with her family around the world.
Besides her parents, Annamma was predeceased by her brother Aadhayi Keezhachery. She leaves behind her beloved and dedicated husband of fifty-two years, Rajeshwar Dogra. She will be deeply missed by three loving children, Veena Kashyap of Frisco, TX, Amit Dogra of Phoenixville, PA, and Renu and her husband Marc Greenberg of Sarasota, FL; dear daughter-in-law, Karen Dogra; dear sister, Mary Poulose Maniyarikal; seven adoring grandchildren and many cherished extended family members.
