Manville, NJ- Anne B. Kocay, 96, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by her two nieces with whom she lived. Born and raised in Manville to her late parents, Anthony and Anna (Janosik) Kocay, she resided in the same house in which she was born on March 3, 1918.
Anne was a devout Roman Catholic who belonged to Christ the Redeemer Parish (Christ the King Church) in Manville. She retired after working thirty-eight years at Johns Manville. Anne was a former member of the JM Quarter Century Club, the Top Hatters Club, and Manville Rescue Squad. She loved being with her family, friends, and neighbors.
Besides her parents, Anne is predeceased by her sisters, Sophie Kocay, Mary Niezgoda, Tola Kocay, and her brother, John Kocay.
Anne leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Sophia Ann (Charles) Bertolacci, Kenneth (Sue) Kocay, Mary Carol Niezgoda, Jonathan (Patricia) Kocay, Bernadette Niezgoda, and Eric (Debra) Kocay. She will be deeply missed by her great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and great great great nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, August 15 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, August 16 from 8-8:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Christ the King Church, 211 Louis Street, Manville, NJ 08835. Anne will be laid to rest in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
