Obituary

Anthony "Tony" W. Goldyn, 83, entered into eternal life on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Manville, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Wenglarz) Goldyn, he resided in Hillsborough for the past fifty years.

Tony was honorably discharged from the United States Army having faithfully served his country as a corporal during the Korean War. After many years in the construction field as a self-employed brick mason and plasterer, Tony retired as a head custodian at Hillsborough High School. He was a communicant of Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Hillsborough and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Thomas J. Kavanaugh Post #2290 in Manville. An active social life created many cherished memories with those he loved. Some favorite pastimes included trips to the Parx Casino in Philadelphia with his wife, feeding the birds, tending to his vegetable garden and Polka dancing.

Besides his parents, Tony was predeceased by his dear siblings, Rose Goldyn, Mary Zamorsky, Edward Goldyn, Joe Jacus, John Jacus, Paul Jacus, Charlie Korsak and Mike Goldyn Wierzbicki.

Tony leaves behind his beloved wife of twenty-four years, Jeanne R. (Molysko) Goldyn, with whom he joined hands in marriage on June 11, 1988; two loving daughters and son-in-law, Rozlyn Goldyn of Springfield, VA and Suann (Goldyn) and Robert Weigele of Bridgewater; two stepsons Gary Falk of Texas and Peter Falk and his wife Louisa of Woodbridge; a dear sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Ed Wlodarczyk. Tony will be deeply missed by his cherished granddaughter Sarah Weigele and by many adored nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, July 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 21 from 8:00-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21 beginning 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Hillsborough. Tony will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
