Elizabeth, NJ- Betty Jane (nee Buchholz) Rocha, 81, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her daughter's home in Manville, NJ with loving family by her side.  Born in Linden, NJ, daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (nee Thurber) Buchholz, she was a lifelong resident of Elizabeth.

Betty was a homemaker.  She took great pride in caring for and raising her family.  Time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren meant the world to her.  She was a fantastic cook and loved sharing special recipes with family no matter what the time of day.

Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Joe Rocha in 2009 and her brother, Richard Buchholz.

Betty is survived by four loving children, Mark Rocha and his significant other, Karen Kotowski of South Lake Tahoe, CA, Betty "Sissy" Rocha and her significant other, William Hart of Roselle, NJ, Susan Pires and her significant other, Ron Smith of Saylorsburg, PA, and Jenny and her husband, Robert Coutant of Manville.  She will be deeply missed by eight cherished grandchildren, Erica, Nicole, Matthew, Bettina and her husband Matt, Eric, Lydia, Brien, and Meredith; three adored great grandchildren, Adelyn, Finn, and Slate; a dear former son-in-law, Luis Pires; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
