Beverly Ann (née Vielra) Greig, who was 76 years old, entered eternal life on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Center For Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. She was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana, as the daughter of the late Ernest and Clarice (née Donn) Vielra. In 1985, she immigrated to the United States of America, initially residing in New York, New York. Four years ago, she relocated to New Jersey, where she settled in Piscataway.
Beverly was the owner and operator of her own cleaning business. She had worked for two years as a home health aide at FirstLight Home Care in North Brunswick, New Jersey, before her retirement. Beverly enjoyed watching classic films on television and was an avid reader. Her relationship with Jesus was significant, reflecting her strong Catholic faith.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Desmond Greig, who passed away in August 1986; and her son, Nigel Anthony Greig, who recently passed away on May 15, 2025.
Beverly will be greatly missed by her loving daughter, Carolyne Sewell from Rio Rancho, New Mexico; her seven dear siblings, Malcolm DeSilva, Marcia Donn, Erol Donn, Tessa Nunes, Mario Nunes, Mark Nunes, and Carlo Robello; her two treasured grandchildren, Courtney Soldano and Alexander Sewell; many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her close friend, Ercel Robertson.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835.
