Nashville, TN – Cecelia Sylvia (nee Katchka) Smith, 101, entered into eternal life on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN.  Born and raised in Nanticoke, PA, daughter of the late Stanley and Magdalena (nee Novak) Katchka , she moved to Manville, NJ in 1955 and then moved to Tennessee in 2012.

Cecelia retired after fifteen years of dedicated employment at Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ as an assembler.  She also had worked for Diehl manufacturing in Bridgewater, NJ, Chanel in Piscataway, and Criticon in Raritan, NJ.  She was a communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville.

Besides her parents, Cecelia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Smith on November 4, 1974; and eight siblings, Anne Krajewski Mason, Sophie Krajewski, Margaret "Helen" Krajewski Kielar, Mary Krajewski Kazinski, Blache Kaczka Madurski, John Kaczka, Sally Kaczka Lisay, and Geraldine Kaczka Tullai.

Cecelia is survived by her loving daughter, Cynthia S. and her husband Joseph Shandor; two cherished grandchildren, Christopher J. Shandor and Victoria L. Shandor; three great grandchildren, Anna N. Shandor, Christina J. Shandor, and Natalie J. Shandor and great great grandson Elijah Paul Shandor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, December 3 from 5-9 p.m. at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 and on Saturday, December 4 from 8-8:30 a.m.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville.  Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
