Obituary

Manville, NJ- Charles S. "Charlie" Charneski, Jr., 82, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Somerset in Somerville, NJ.  Born in Manville, son of the late Charles C. and Helen (Buchanec) Charneski, Sr., he was a lifelong resident of Manville.

Charlie faithfully served his country with the United States National Guard as a Tank Commander.  He formed and was the owner of Delta Machine Design in Manville.  Previously, he worked at Egan Machinery in Finderne, NJ for over 20 years starting as a Product Designer rising to the role of Chief Engineer.  Charlie was very involved with all of his children's sports and he also volunteered in many community organizations including the Manville Fire Department.  He enjoyed many forms of motorsports and was an avid traveler.

Besides his parents, Charlie was predeceased by a sister, Norma Jean and two brothers, Andrew and John.

Charlie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Joyce (Pawlik) Charneski, with whom he shared Holy Matrimony on May 21, 1960.  He will be deeply missed by four loving children, Charles L. Charneski and his wife Suzanne of Monroe Township, NJ, Sandra and her husband Richard Koziol of Califon, NJ, Russell Charneski of Manville, and Jayne Charneski of New York, NY; a dear brother, Ronald Charneski of Florida; two cherished step granddaughters; two adored great step granddaughters; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Charlie requested private cremation services that were entrusted to Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835.
