David Anthony Imperato, 62, entered eternal life on Monday, February 2, 2015 at home with his beloved wife by his side. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY he resided in Hillsborough for 24 years before settling to Somerset 4 years ago.
Dave attended St. Peter's High School in Staten Island, NY and graduated from Baruch College in Manhattan. He pursued his career as an accountant having worked with the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, NY; Institute for Continuing Lawyer Education in East North Brunswick, and his last place of employment National One Mortgage in Somerset. David was a devout parishioner at The Parish Community of St. Joseph in Hillsborough. He was an avid computer person; loved playing Poker with his buddies and playing softball at Cedar Hill Swim Club where he served as club treasurer. Dave had an adventurous spirit that led him on many road trips to the Outer Banks to vacation with family and friends. He may best be remembered for his total DEVOTION to his wife and two children.
Dave leaves behind his beloved wife of 37 years, Linda M. (Holewski) Imperato with whom he joined hands in marriage on September 24, 1977; two loving children, Tricia Imperato and her husband Dave Maggio of Broomfield, CO and Steven Imperato and his wife Stacy of Branchburg; his adored mother , Minnie (Santore) Imperato of Staten Island, NY; four dear siblings, Sandra Dowling and husband Christopher of Staten Island, NY, Luellen Testa and husband John of Middletown, NJ and their children Kimberly and James; Karen Miranda and her husband Mark of Clark and their daughter Kylie; and Robert Imperato of Maryland. Dave will be deeply missed by his cherished "granddogs": Brody, Jose, Chip and Mona.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, February 9th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., and on Tuesday, February 10th from 8:45-9:15 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 10th beginning 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at The Parish Community of St. Joseph, 34 Yorktown Road, Millstone Borough section of Hillsborough with Fr. Hank Hilton officiating. At the family's request disposition will be private.
