Nanticoke, Pa- David John Malavenda, 56, entered into eternal life on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ. Born in Somerville, David resided in Manville most of his life.
David is predeceased by his dear father, David D. Malavenda in 1976 and his beloved brother, Robert C. Malavenda in 2008.
David was a graduate of Manville High School Class of 1981. He was a carpenter with NJ Carpenters Union Local 253 of Hackensack, NJ. David was a musician (drummer) and a member of many bands, most notably, the Razorbacks, Curbside BBQ, and MoRock. David was often on the road with numerous famous bands. He had a love for music and the drums which touched the lives of everyone who knew him. But his true passion was for his daughter, Carly Malavenda of Point Pleasant, NJ, whom he loved and adored with all his heart.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved mother and step father, Barbara D. and Bud Connell of Venice, FL; loving fiancé, Francine Ammiano of Hillsborough, NJ; dear sister, Alisa Malavenda and sister-in-law, Lauri of Milwaukee, WI; cherished step brother, Tom Connell and Jane of Martinsville, NJ; step sister, Sandra Connell and her husband Steve Ellis of New Providence, NJ; godson, Zachary Malavenda; goddaughter, Jessica Knewasser; nephews, David Saladino and his wife Katie, Michael Saladino, Tommy Connell, and Tyler Connell; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, October 12 from 3-7 p.m. with A Celebration of Life service beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home led by family and friends. At the family's request, the disposition will be private.
