West Orange, NJ--Dorothy Mae (nee Petch) Benicaso, 99, entered into eternal life on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Daughters of Israel Pleasant Valley Home in West Orange, NJ with her loving family by her side. Born in Hazelton, PA, Dorothy was one of ten children to her late parents, Robert and Lillian Petch. She moved from Hazelton settling in Manville, NJ in 1960.

Dorothy loved to knit and made many beautiful items including, scarves, baby items, and Afghans. She was also a great cook and loved preparing meals for her family.

Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph P. Benicaso, Sr. in 2004 and by a son, Joseph P. Benicaso, Jr. in 2011.Dorothy is survived by her loving son, Girard A. Benicaso and his wife Helen of West Orange. She will be deeply missed by her cherished grandson, Jesse Benicaso. All who knew her will cherish her memory dearly.

A viewing will be held at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Saturday, September 21 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 1065 Millstone River Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
