Narvon, PA---Edward A. Kawalchuk , formally of Manville, NJ, 95, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Hickory House Nursing Home, Honey Brook, PA.  Born in Hastings on Hudson, NY to the late Jacob and Pauline (nee Kulick) Kawalchuk, Edward lived in Dobbs Ferry, NY when he got married and then moved to Manville before settling in Honey Brook.

Edward was a press operator for Johns Manville Corporation for 31 years before retiring in 1986.  He served his Country honorably in the United States Army as a Corporal during the Korean War. Edward was a member of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Christ the King Roman Catholic Church), where he belonged to the choir and was a rosarian.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 2290, the Manville Senior Citizens and the Manville Nutrition Club.  Edward enjoyed his occasional trips to the casinos and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles.  He really enjoyed his Polka music and loved listening to it.

Beside his parents, Edward was also predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Lucas)Kawalchuk and his dear siblings, Helen, Sara, Olga, John and Anthony and Vera.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A visitation will take place on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at Good Shepard Roman Catholic Church, 87 S. Hunter Highway, Drums, PA, immediately followed by a funeral liturgy at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 49 S. Hunter Highway, Drums, PA.
