Manville, NJ – Edward Paul Kmiecinski, 54, entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Plainfield, son of the late Edward Z. and Bernice T. (Klimek), he was raised in Stirling and settled to Manville in 1985.
Ed was presently employed as a driver with UPS in Bound Brook where he had been employed for the past fourteen years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Roman Catholic Church in Warren and a former 4th degree knight with the Father Damien Council #6575 of the Knights of Columbus in Morristown. Ed was a Ham Radio Operator using call sign 196 (WB2DAU) and had collected antique radios while attending auctions and flea markets.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife Sharon (Mantz) Kmiecinski with whom he joined hands in marriage on October 2, 1982; two loving children, son Austin Kmiecinski and daughter Rebecca Kmiecinski both of Manville; three dear sisters, Mary Jane Strang and husband Peter of Stirling, Ellen Kmiecinski of Scotch Plains and Monica Weinschenk of Stirling. He will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Janet Thompson of Virginia; brother-in-law Philip Mantz of New Jersey; mother and father-in-law Byron and Nancy Mantz of Bedminister and by his nephews Thaddeus, Jeremy and his wife Danielle and Ben along with his grandniece and grandnephew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 1-4 p.m., on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m and on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 8:45am until service time.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 beginning 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at Our Lady of the Mount Roman Catholic Church, 167 Mount Bethel Road, Warren, NJ 07059. Committal words and cremation will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
