Manville, NJ- Edward "Red" S. Zambo, 81, entered eternal life on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Lackawana, PA, son of the late Andrew and Evelyn (Fronzak) Zambo, he was a lifelong resident of Manville.



Red faithfully served his country with the United States Air Force as a corporal during the Korean War. While serving his country he played baseball for the Las Vegas Mustangs. He retired from RCA in Bridgewater as a tool and die maker. Red was a communicant and usher at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville. In his youth he was an altar boy in Olyphant, PA. He was a former member of the Manville Recreation Department, Manville Board of Adjustments and Union President at RCA. Red enjoyed bowling, woodworking, painting, swimming, taking trips with his wife to Las Vegas and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets.



Besides his parents, Red was predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy "Dottie" M. Zambo on November 22, 2011, brother Andrew Jr. and sister Barbara Ann.



Red is survived by his dear daughter and son-in-law, Donna and James Snyder of Manville; a cherished granddaughter and her husband, Kelly and Anthony LaMonica of Hillsborough; and three adored great grandchildren, AJ, Kyle and Ava LaMonica.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, December 4 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Monday, December 5 from 8:30-9:00 a.m.



Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5 beginning at 9:00 at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
