Obituary

Sanford, FL- Edward R. Shepley, 81, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 24, 2014 in Atria at Lake Forest in Sanford, FL. Born in New York, NY, son of the late Louis and Theresa (Ratchak) Shepley, he was raised in Shamokin, PA and had resided in Manville, Hillsborough, and Bridgewater before settling to Sanford, FL.

Edward was proud to have earned his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University. He retired as a computer programmer with PSE&G after thirty-one years of dedicated employment. While residing in Manville he was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. In his spare time, Edward was an avid golfer and enjoyed renovating his children's homes over the years.

Besides his parents, Edward was predeceased by his dear brothers, Robert Shepley and Tom Shepley and his wife, Jean.

Edward leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Anna M. (Trakowski) Shepley, with whom he joined hands in marriage on May 13, 1961; loving children, Cheryl Ann and her husband Stephen Taggart of Deland, FL, Edward Shepley, Jr. and his wife Karen of Liberty, MO, Melinda and her husband John Wild of Stockton, NJ; dear brother, Richard Shepley and his wife Carmella of Hillsborough; dear sister-in-law, Barbara Shepley formerly of Manville. He will be deeply missed by his ten adored grandchildren, Christopher, Rebecca, Nicole, Stephen, Jr., Timothy, Austin, Riley, Kelly, Jessica, and Bryan; precious great granddaughters, Clare and Madison; and by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, May 30 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 31 from 8-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy from Christ the Redeemer Parish to be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Memorial contributions may be made in Edward's name to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Avenue Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
