Manville, NJ- Elizabeth "Snookie" A. (Hughson) Edson, 75, entered into eternal life on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Somerville, daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (O'Connor) Hughson, she had resided in Bradley Gardens until her marriage when she then moved to Manville.

Snookie was a graduate of Somerville High School Class of 1955. She retired from L'Oreal in Franklin Township where she was a packaging specialist and prior to L'Oreal she worked as an operator at Johns Manville in Manville for twenty-five years. Snookie was a member of Molly Pitcher 3rd/112 Field Artillery Association in Morristown and the Second Chance in West Windsor. She enjoyed trips to casinos, especially Atlantic City and bowling in the Monday Nite Mixed Bowling Leagues.



Besides her parents, Snookie was predeceased by two sons, Edward and James Edson; and two brothers, Edward and Tom Hughson.

Snookie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of fifty-four years, Daniel Edson with whom she joined hand in marriage on October 12, 1958; loving son, Daniel Edson of Manville; dear sister, Mary Cardenas of High Bridge and dear brother, John Hughson of Somerville; three cherished grandchildren, Cheryl, Amy and Danielle Edson; an adored great granddaughter Caitlyn and by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, November 16 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, November 17 from 9-10 a.m.



Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17 beginning 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Committal words and interment will follow at New Cemetery in Somerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Snookie's name to Second Chance/ Heart Transplant Support Group, C/O Richard Harbourt, 182 Conover Road, West Windsor, NJ 08550.
