Manville, NJ- Eudokia Sophie (Myskiw) Kinal, 86, a resident of Manville for most of her life, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in Virginia Beach, VA with family by her side. Sophie was born in the Polish community in what is today Torghiv, Ukraine. She immigrated to the United States with her husband and son in 1949.
Sophie retired in 1987 from Lehn and Fink Corporation after working in several factory jobs during her adult life. She was a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville and a member of their choir and Altar Rosary Society. Sophie participated in many church activities but was especially fond of her days with the "pierogi ladies". She was also a member of the Manville Senior Citizens Club.
Sophie was predeceased by her husband Joseph Kinal in 1983.
Sophie leaves behind her three loving children, her son Wenceslaus Kinal of Orlando, FL, and her daughters Josephine Kinal Letts of Virginia Beach, VA and Mary Cusack of Neptune City, NJ, in addition to eight cherished grandchildren and her dear friend Jadwiga Terpilowski.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, December 29th from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, December 30th from 8-8:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 30th beginning 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Sophie will be laid to rest beside her husband at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
