Obituary

Bethlehem, PA – Eugene H. Lecko, 52, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his residence in Bethlehem, PA. Born in Plainfield, NJ, son of Cecilia (Klos) Stefanczuk and the late Henry Lecko, Eugene grew up in Highland Park and came to Manville in 1970 before settling in Bethlehem in 2002.

Eugene worked as a Carpenter Foreman for Stonewood Builders out of far Hills, NJ. He liked fishing, football and animals, especially his feline friend. He had been an altar boy and parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Manville.

Besides his father, Eugene was predeceased by his beloved companion of 15 years, Carol Sedita and nephew, Craig Schenck.

Besides his mother, Eugene is survived by his stepfather Ignacy Stefanczuk; dear siblings, Ted Lecko and his wife Lisa, Barbara Schenck and Elizabeth Montone and her husband Joe. He will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephew, cousins and close friend Joe Wrobel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, December 14, from 8-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 14 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Catholic Church) in Manville. Eugene will be laid to rest at St. Bernard Cemetery, 551 Route 28, Bridgewater, NJ.
