Manville, NJ – Eugene B. Skorupa, 86, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Goscieradow, Poland to the late Adam and Sophia Skorupa, he moved to Manville in 1965.

Eugene retired after thirty one years as a machinist with Egan Machinery of Bridgewater, NJ.  He enjoyed his free time watching soccer on television.  His favorite pastime was to spend time with his children and grandchildren.   Eugene was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his beloved wife, Krystyna (Puzio) Skorupa who died November 19, 2006 and son-in-law, Robert Markowitch who died in 2009.

Eugene is survived by his dear children, son Henry and wife Jackie Skorupa of Manville, NJ and daughter Grace H. Markowitch of Manville, NJ.  He will also be missed by his three adored grandchildren, David and wife Melissa Markowitch, Michael and wife Christina Markowitch, and Lisa and husband Scott Lucash; five cherished great grandchildren, Alexander, Robert and Paige Markowitch, and Scotty and Logan Lucash. He leaves behind his sister, Maria Socha of Goscieradow, Poland as well as many nieces and nephews.

Henry and Grace are gratefully indebted to Anna Matula, who for over three years lovingly cared for Eugene as if he were her own flesh and blood.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, August 25 from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, August 26 from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26 beginning 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.  Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
