Evelyn A. (Mundy) Scrape, 84, entered into eternal life on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born and raised in Bound Brook, daughter of the late LeGrande and Anna (Beatty) Mundy, she settled to Manville 55 years ago.



Evelyn retired as a front desk manager from the Red Bull Inn in Bridgewater after 27 dedicated years of employment. She was a faithful communicant of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville, a rosarian, a member of the mercy choir and always instrumental in the making of pierogis. Evelyn was the 1st president of Weston School PTA having always remained active, she served as president of the Manville Ladies Republican Club, and she was a former Girl Scout leader and assistant leader. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and baking.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter Scrape on May 29, 1999, son Edward Thomas Scrape on April 5, 1985 and daughter-in-law Janice Jacobs in 2011.

Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted daughter Sandra Ann Scrape with whom she resided, dear daughter-in-law Ginny Milora and her husband Sam, adored granddaughter Lyndsay Hall and her husband Josh, precious great grandsons Evan Stanley and Baylin Hall. She will be deeply missed by her step granddaughters Heather Keim and Tyler Knight and four step great grandchildren, Tim, Lexie Paige, Gage and Christopher. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her Best Buddy, her canine friend, Emily Rose.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, February 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, February 13 from 9-9:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13 beginning 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Evelyn will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough. Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn's memory to Manville Rescue Squad, 2 South 3rd Street, Manville, NJ 08835.
