Manville, NJ- Faye (Onder) Matyk, 82, entered eternal life on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at home surrounded by loving family. Born in Snow Shoe, PA, daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Vozniak) Onder, she resided in Cleveland, OH and Portage, PA before settling to Manville in 1963.
Faye was previously employed by GE and Jelco in Somerville, NJ and Beecham Pharmaceuticals in Piscataway, NJ as a machine operator, inspector, and factory worker. Throughout the years, her fondest memories were as a homemaker caring for and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. Faye was a member of the Manville Senior Citizens Club.
Besides her parents, Faye was predeceased by two sons, Steven Oravecz and Edward Oravecz; and three dear siblings, Frank Onder, Joseph Onder, and Steven Onder.
Faye leaves behind her beloved husband of forty-four years, Thomas J. Matyk, with whom she joined hands in marriage on July 3, 1970; two loving children, Georgette and her husband James Migliore of Hillsborough, NJ and Nicholas Oravecz of St. Petersburg, FL; five dear siblings, Paul Onder, Peter Onder, Michael Onder, Mary Ann Phillips, and Charles Onder. Faye will be deeply missed by four cherished grandchildren, Michael Migliore, Steven Migliore, Kelly Ann Oravecz, and Jamie Lynn Oravecz.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Saturday, November 8 from 3-6 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Faye's name to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Avenue Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
