Obituary

Florence T. Jasinski, 82, of Somerset, NJ passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at her home.

Born and raised in Manville, she was a longtime resident of the borough. After retiring she resided in Ortley Beach, NJ for several years before moving to Somerset eight years ago.

Florence retired in 1990 from Ethicon, Inc. in Somerville, NJ, and was a member of the 25 Year Club. During her employment she was recognized by the company for suggested equipment improvements, as well as for her ability and willingness to train new employees.

As a young girl growing up in Manville, Florence loved school, going on outings with her mother and to the movies with her father, roller skating and bicycling with friends, and dancing to the sounds of the Big Bands. In her early adult years, Florence enjoyed summers at the Jersey shore with her family. After retirement, she moved to Ortley Beach, NJ, became a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church in Seaside Heights, and traveled extensively with friends from her church. Just prior to the birth of her granddaughter, Erica, Florence relocated to Canal Walk in Somerset to be closer to family and old friends. She enjoyed exercising and socializing in the community clubhouse where she made many new friends. Over the years, she traveled in Europe and the Caribbean with her family.

Florence was a member of the Parish Community of St. Joseph in Millstone where she attended mass and volunteered in a church program to assist the homeless. Florence will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, elegant style, generosity and warmth.

Predeceased by her husband, Matthew Jasinski and parents Harold and Julia Hoagland, she is survived by her daughter Shirlee A. Tallman, with whom she lived, two sons Robert M. Jasin of Florida, Ronald M. Jasinski and his wife Christine of Raritan Twp. (Flemington) and two grandchildren Erica T. Jasinski and Kurt Jasin.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 2-5pm at the Fucillo and Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville. The funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10am at St. Joseph's Church, 34 Yorktown Road, Millstone (Hillsborough), NJ with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.

Florence's family would like to acknowledge and express gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Bozena Cymbala, Connie Umana and Letty Krautwald; her outstanding physicians, Drs. Amy Shute, Jeffrey Kaladas, Marc A. Greenstein and Charles A. Accurso; Deacon Tim and Eileen Lawless, and many others at St. Joseph Parish Community, as well as Florence's relatives, friends and neighbors for their ongoing spiritual and emotional support.
