Manville, NJ- Florence (Hodgson) Maruca, 87, died on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at RWJ-Somerset in Somerville. Born in Montreal, Canada, Florence married her beloved husband on October 27, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY moving to Manville in 1963.

Florence was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Manville where she was a deaconess for over 20 years and was a Legion of Honor recipient from the Chapel of the 4 Chaplains. She also volunteered over 500 hours at the former Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.

Florence was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent Maruca on October 11, 2004; her parents, Harry and Margaret Hodgson; brother, Gerald Hodgson and sister-in-law, Marie Hodgson.

Surviving are her two sons, Neil of Chester and Eric of Miami, FL; granddaughter, Larissa Previtti; nieces: Maureen Hodgson, Patty and Debbie Santangelo, Barbara and Linda Kolb; sisters-in-laws, Fran and Alberta.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, October 21st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 22nd beginning 10:00am at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 34 South 3rd Avenue, Manville, NJ 08835. Florence will be laid to rest beside her husband at Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone, NJ. Memorial contributions to Emmanuel Baptist Church would be appreciated.
