Obituary

Frances Edna (Lindstrom) Kaminski, age 89, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2016 at RWJUH-Somerset Hospital in Somerville, NJ with her daughter Joan by her side. Frances was born November 19, 1926 in Hartford, Connecticut. She was the daughter of the late Frank Lindstrom and Ruth Benson of West Hartford, Connecticut.

Frances graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford, CT. She worked for Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, CT and subsequently became an LPN in the nursery at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT before she was married. On June 9, 1951 she married the late Frank Walter Kaminski at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hartford, CT where she was a lifelong member. They lived briefly in Bristol, CT and started a family and then moved to Wethersfield, CT where they lived for many years. After the death of her husband in 1983, she lived in Newington, CT and later moved to Hillsborough, NJ to live closer to her daughter. She most recently lived at Foothill Acres Rehab and Nursing Home in Hillsborough, NJ. Frances was an active church member at Emanuel Lutheran Church and attended the Homebuilders Club. She loved singing hymns and took singing lessons. She treasured her Swedish heritage, was a member of the Vasserettes club, and served as a Girl Scout leader for her daughter's troop. Frances enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and crafts of all kinds. She enjoyed taking family vacations. Most of all she loved her family.

Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Bob Perrone of Belle Mead, NJ, and her son Paul Kaminski of Bolton, CT.

She leaves behind four grandchildren, Katherine Polumbo and husband John Polumbo of Murfreesboro,TN, Jennifer Perrone and husband Nicholas Gaw of Washington, DC, Scott Kaminski of Bolton, CT and Paul Kaminski Jr of Nashville, TN. She also leaves behind five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her sister-in-law Pat Lindstrom of Farmington, CT.

Arrangements in New Jersey are under the care of Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835.

Calling hours will be held on Friday October 7, 2016 from 5pm - 7pm at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main St., West Hartford, CT. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery at 200 Whitman Ave., West Hartford.

The family would like to thank Foothill Acres, RWJUH-Somerset Hospital, and Dr. Bhaskara for their compassionate care. The family would also like to thank all those who prayed for her in her later years, especially the members of Faith Lutheran Church, Hillsborough, NJ.
