Manville, NJ- Frances J. Whitenight, 86, passed away peacefully at Somerset Medical Center on Thursday, February 10, 2011. Born in Belton Texas, daughter of the late Lena Crawford and J.F. Blackwood, Frances met and married her husband Paul Whitenight there and moved to Manville in 1948 where they settled and raised their family.
Frances retired from Conolog in Branchburg where she was an assembler. She was an avid fan of television soap operas but her real passion was spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul Whitenight in 1989, her son Samuel Stewart of Belton, Texas in 1993 and her daughter, Paulette Whitenight of Manville in 2003.
Frances is survived by her daughter Loretta Bellas of Manville and her son Ira Whitenight and his wife Gayle of Hillsborough; her sister Ella Mills and her husband Matt of Belton, Texas; eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, February 14 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 15 from 9:30-10 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Eckert officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Forever in our hearts.
