Hillsborough, NJ- Eugene T. "Gene" Puzio, 63, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Somerville, son of the late Stanley and Helen (Margel) Puzio, he was raised in Bridgewater and settled to Hillsborough in 1975.
Gene was a 1966 graduate of Bridgewater-Raritan West High School. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy having faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War. Gene was the manager of trailer sales and administration with Northeast Great Dane in Hillsborough. He had a passion for life and love, his wife and canine friend Kayleigh, as well as family and friends.
Gene leaves behind his beloved wife of thirty-six years, Jacquelyn (Smith) Puzio; brother Daniel Puzio of Bound Brook and niece Brittany Puzio; sister Christine Stout of Clearwater, FL and her significant other Kurt Finken and nephews Charlie and Andy Stout. He will be deeply missed by his mother-in-law Betty Smith; sister-in-law Mary Lou and Jack Fitzgerald; niece Jackie and Brian Keelen and their daughter Brynne; niece Kelly Fitzgerald and nephew Christopher Fitzgerald; niece Betsy and Tim Noon & their three children Connor, Brady and Madison; nephew Raymond and Tammy Smith, Jr. and their two children Daisy & Reef.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, December 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 13 from 8:30-9:00 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 13 beginning 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
