Manville, NJ – Genevieve (nee Sudul) Dacuk, 91, entered into eternal life on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Somerset Woods Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Somerset, NJ. Born in Manville, NJ, daughter of the late Walenty and Anna (nee Koziel) Sudul, she was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Genevieve was a graduate of Bound Brook High School. Genevieve had been employed at Johns Manville in Manville for over thirty years as the plant manager's secretary; she was a member of the JM Quarter Century Club. Genevieve retired in 1998 after ten years of dedicated employment at National Starch in Finderne, NJ, as the fleet manager's secretary. Genevieve's primary focus in life was raising and educating her children. She loved watching the local sports teams play especially the New York Football Giants and the New York Jets. She was a faithful parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville.
Besides her parents, Genevieve was predeceased by her beloved husband, Zygmund Dacuk in 1973; and seven siblings, Anne Kasas, Walter Sudul, Stanley Sudul, Alexander Sudul, John Sudul, Mary Smith, and Elizabeth Dziedzic.
Genevieve is survived by two loving children, Robert Dacuk and his wife Donna of Edison, NJ and Lisa Dacuk-Julius and her husband Peter Julius of Hillsborough, NJ. She will be deeply missed by two cherished grandchildren, Chelsea Julius and Sean Julius; and many dear nieces and nephews.
Relative and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, February 22 from 4-7 p.m. and on Thursday, February 23 from 8-8:30 a.m. Transfer prayers will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 23 at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral mass at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
