Obituary

Manville, NJ – Genevieve B. (Golden) Liedl, 90, entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Born in Manville, daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine (Firek) Golden, she was a lifelong resident of Manville before moving in with her daughter in Bethlehem.

Genevieve was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for family and friends. She enjoyed cooking for family events. Her Catholic Faith was important to her and she was a faithful parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville. She was a member of their Altar Rosary Society. Genevieve was also a member of the VFW Post #2290 Ladies Auxiliary in Manville.

Besides her parents, Genevieve was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Liedl, Sr. in 1987; son, Frank Liedl, Jr. in 2011; a sister, Christine; and brothers, Joseph, Stanley, Jr., and Louis.

Genevieve is survived by a loving daughter, Karen and her husband Phil Kostenbader of Bethlehem, PA; a cherished granddaughter, Elizabeth and her husband Drew; three adored great grandchildren, Jack, Lyla, and Ava; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, September 27 from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday, September 28 from 8-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Church) in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Genevieve's name to Christ the Redeemer Parish, 98 South 2nd Ave, Manville, NJ 08835, St. Jane Frances Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Easton, PA 18045, or Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
