Three Bridges, NJ- George Paul Hnidj, 71, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ.  Born in Camp Kilmer (Edison, NJ) on September 14, 1952, son of Maria (nee Olijnyk) and the late Bohdan Hnidj, he resided in Manville, NJ until moving to Three Bridges several years ago.

George was a graduate of Somerville High School with the Class of 1970.  He had over thirty-five years of dedicated employment at the Manville Foodtown.  He then went on to become a realtor helping families find the home of their dreams with Central Jersey Realty in Manville.  Always dedicated to his community, George became a volunteer fireman while in high school.  George went on to serve as Chief at Hillsborough Township Volunteer Fire Company #2.  He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, New York Mets, and Somerset Patriots.

Besides his father, George was predeceased by Grandparents Ivan and Mary Hnidj (paternal) Andrij and Evadokia Olijnyk and Uncle Adam Hnidj

George will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his loving mother, Maria Hnidj of Hillsborough, NJ; beloved wife, Patricia (nee Nugent) Kurdyla-Hnidj and their children and grandchildren; dear sisters, Irene Hnidj and Mary Ann Hnidj; and many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.
