Berkeley Heights, NJ – Helen T. (Owsik) Kita, 89, entered eternal life on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Berkeley Heights Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Bound Brook, daughter of the late Alexander and Veronica (Rozanska) Owsik, she resided in Manville and Bridgewater before moving to Berkeley Heights in 2009.



Helen was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and cherishing their times together. She was a parishioner and rosarian at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville and member of the Manville Senior Citizens Club.

Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael S. Kita, on March 7, 2000; son, Michael T. Kita; and siblings, Stella Hajdmacha, Felix, John, Chester, Henry, Janina, Boleslaw, and Stanley Owsik.

Helen leaves behind two loving sons, Henry C. Kita and his wife Melissa of Watchung and Richard T. Kita and his wife Susan of Vero Beach, FL; loving daughter-in-law, Virginia Kita of Owasso, OK; dear siblings, brother, Edward Owsik of Bensalem, PA, and sisters, Mary Zimko of Tewksbury and Irene King of Hillsborough. She will be deeply missed by seven cherished grandchildren, Justin, David, William, Judy, Thomas, Stephanie, and Hannah; an adored great grandson, Corbin, and many dear nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, December 4 from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday, December 5 from 8:00-8:30 a.m.



Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 5 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Committal words will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
