Manville, NJ – Helen J. (nee Lapotasky) Sparatta, 95, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.  Born in Manville, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Totus) Lapotasky, she had been a resident of Manville all her life.

Helen took great pride as a homemaker; she enjoyed cooking and cleaning and was very dedicated to family.  She was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville.

Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Samuel "Sammy" Sparatta in 1992; son, Frank Sparatta in 2009; siblings, Michael, Andrew, John, Katherine, Elizabeth, and Mary.

Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Sharon and her husband Val Steinmetz of Raritan, NJ.  She will be deeply missed by three cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Meredith, and Matthew Steinmetz; dear sister, Ann DePaolo of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and several cherished nieces and nephews.
