Manville, NJ- Ignacy Stefanczuk, 72, entered into eternal life on Monday, December 14, 2020 after a long battle with an illness, he died at home with loving family by his side. Born in Bialystok, Poland, son of the late Chester and Helena Stefanczuk, he immigrated to the United States in 1979. He resided in Hillsborough, NJ prior to settling to Manville in 1984.
While in Poland, Ignacy served his country with the Polish Military. Ignacy was a machinist at Egan-Davis Standard, Inc. from 1980-2014. He then continued his work as a machinist with Tri-Met Industries in Bridgewater, NJ for the next three years until an untimely accident shortened his career. He was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Ignacy loved watching soccer but most important to him was time spent with his family especially his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Ignacy, the oldest of nine, was predeceased by six siblings.
Ignacy is survived by his beloved wife, Cecilia Stefanczuk with whom he joined hands in Holy Matrimony on November 3, 1984; two loving children, Bartlomiej Stefanczuk and his wife Anna of Hillsborough, NJ and Maciej Stefanczuk and his wife Anna of Wasilkow, Poland; three cherished stepchildren, Elizabeth Montone and husband Joseph of Nazareth, PA, Ted Lecko and his wife Lisa of Manville, NJ and Barbara Schenck of Manville, NJ; dear siblings, Agnes Laureano and husband Lou of Long Island, NY, Franek Stefanczuk and wife Hanna of Wasilkow, Poland; thirteen adored grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Veronica, Maciej, Alicja, Vincent, Michael, AnnMarie, Sean, Alicia, Brianna, Kimberly, and Peter; and two great-grandchildren Reina and Gavin. A special thank you to Vicki Llanos, Ignacy's caregiver, for her dedication, compassion and kindness she showed him throughout his illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, December 18 from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday, December 19 from 8:00-8:30 a.m.
Due to current Covid restrictions, a maximum of 50 people will be allowed in the viewing area at any one time. We ask that you kindly pay your respects to Ignacy's family and then allow others to do the same. All attendees must wear a mask at all times and stay socially distant.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday, December 19 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville. Committal words and disposition will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery & Mausoleum in Bridgewater, NJ.
