Manville, NJ- Irene (Petro) Matisak, 78, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA, daughter of the late George and Anna (Miklos) Petro, she settled to Manville in 1956.

Irene took great pride in caring for her family. Before retiring in 1998, Irene worked for Manville High School as the Cafeteria Manager. She was very active in various organizations in the community. As an active member of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Christ the King Church) in Manville she most recently belonged to the Alter Rosary Society, Prayer and Praise Group and the Choir. Irene was also an active participant in the Manville Seniors Programs.

Besides her parents, Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Matisak in 2009, her dear son Mark Matisak in 2014 and brother Albert Petro.

Irene is survived by three loving children, Rick Matisak and wife Kathy, Joe Matisak and wife Paula and Sharon Monto and husband Bob; dear brothers George Petro and wife Rusty and Frank Petro and wife Agnes. She will be deeply missed by eleven cherished grandchildren; Natasha, Christopher (CJ), Justin, Veronica, Brandon, Alec, Jared, Karyl-Ann and husband Kevin, George IV and wife Nicole, Jason and Joshua and four precious great grandchildren; Tyler, Gage, Lilly and George V.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, June 29 from 3-7 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 30 from 8-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 30 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Christ the King Church) in Manville. Irene will be laid to rest beside her husband at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
