Somerset, NJ-Jadwiga "Jean" (Moraczynska) Wielgosz, 91, peacefully entered into eternal life on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at her daughter's home in Oakland, Iowa with family by her side. Born in Minsk, Russia, daughter of the late Peter and Leonia (Gosjellska) Moraczynska, Jean immigrated to the United States in 1950 prior to settling to Somerset in 1958.
She was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook. Her passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Jean took a very special interest in her grandchildren's lives and she dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her traditional Polish cooking was a staple of her family's lives. Her personal sacrifices helped build a foundation for generations to come. Jean will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter Wielgosz in 2011.
Jean leaves behind her devoted children, daughter Anna and her husband Nazzareno D'Angelo of Oakland, IA and son Walter Wielgosz and his wife Marilyn of Somerset, NJ. She will be deeply missed by five cherished grandchildren, Michael D'Angelo and his wife Adriana, Maryann D'Angelo, John Paul D'Angelo and his wife Emily, Christopher Wielgosz and his fiancé Brittany, and Adam Wielgosz and his wife Heather; seven adored great grandchildren, Brillianna D'Angelo, Alexander D'Angelo, Michael Mario D'Angelo, Bella Mia D'Angelo, Dominic D'Angelo, Evelyn D'Angelo, and Aiden Walter Wielgosz; and by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, November 23 from 5-8 p.m.
A funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, November 24 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa, 201 Vosseller Ave, Bound Brook, NJ 08805. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
