Javier Hernan
Alegria
Feb 10, 1992 — Sep 29, 2019
New Brunswick, NJ--Javier Alegría passed away on Sunday, September 29th, 2019. He was born on February 10, 1992, in Lima, Perú. He is the son of Nelly Egas and Julio Alegría. Javier was the youngest in his family, with two older sisters and one older brother.
He arrived in this country when he was 12 years old, attended Alexander Batcho Intermediate School, and graduated from Manville High School in 2011.
He met his future wife, Vanessa Priego, at Manville High School. They both became parents at a very young age, and they rose to the new challenges of raising a family.
He was just 27 years old when he left us due to a rare disease of the heart. This genetic heart condition usually strikes during childhood, so we were fortunate to have Javier with us into his adulthood. He had completed HVAC certification and was going to college. He had a very bright future.
He lived life to its fullest and was a very carefree soul. He enjoyed nature, watching soccer and movies, and had a love for his home country of Perú. Always looking for thrills, Javier did everything from sky diving to white water rafting, and he loved horror movies. As a typical millennial, he was up on the latest technologies and enjoyed playing with computers.
He is survived by his wife Vanessa, son Emilio, mother Nelly, brother Pedro, as well as his sisters Isabel and Jenny. He was so kind to everyone he met and deeply loved his mother. Javier will be greatly missed by many more people who had the pleasure of knowing him including Gary; Javier
lost his father to cancer at 14 years of age. Later he befriended Gary, who has been a second father to him. They have been like adopted members of each other's families.
