Manville, NJ – Jennie (nee Guerrazzi) Vaccarella, 96, entered into eternal life on Monday, November 18, 2024 at home. Born at home in Manville, daughter of the late Nicholas and Josephine (nee Infante) Guerrazzi, she was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Jennie was a graduate with Bound Brook High School's Class of 1946 where she was a long standing member of the Commercial and Stenography clubs and participated in intramural sports. Jennie retired after over 30 years of dedicated employment with Hoechst Celanese (formerly American Hoechst) in Bridgewater, NJ, as a supervisor in the packaging department. Prior to that employment she had worked at Diehl's in Bridgewater as a welder.Jennie was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville.
In her personal life, Jennie, known to everyone as "Aunt Jen," and was the most selfless individual turning her hobbies and home into a way to help others. She often welcomed family and friends into her home while wearing her duster and scrolling her iPad (where she would be stalking all your followers). In her down time, Jennie loved to do crossword puzzles while drinking tea and chat with family over the phone. Jennie loved to host large summer BBQs bringing the family together by her backyard pool, despite never having learned to swim herself. Jennie enjoyed going on various vacations and trips with family no matter the destination. Jennie would do anything for those she loved including but not limited to giving hair cuts, supplying an endless amount of M&M's, hemming pants and altering dresses, making pizza fritte, and even doing taxes. Her family was her life.
Besides her parents, Jennie was predeceased by the love of her life, Michael Kaladas; her older sister, Sylvia Vaccarella; and her baby brother, Dominick Guerrazzi.
Jennie will be deeply missed and is survived by her dear sister, Mary Shubiak, and sister-in-law Margaret Guerrazzi; eight loving nieces and nephews, Marie Vaccarella, Leonard Vaccarella and his wife Rosemary, Mark Shubiak and his wife Anne, Jacqueline Guerrazzi and her wife Sharon, Jeanine Goska and her husband Thomas, Josephine Fendt, Nicholas Guerrazzi and his wife Vanessa, and Jessica Gallo and her husband Stephen; 20 cherished great nieces and nephews; and 7 adored great great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, November 25, from 5-8p.m. and on Tuesday, November 26, from 9-9:30 am. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
