Obituary

Manville, NJ- Jerome T. Koshinski, Sr., 85, entered into eternal life on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ.  Born in Scranton, PA, son of the late Frank G. and Frances (Galka) Koshinski, he was raised in Scranton, PA before settling to Manville.

Jerome faithfully served his country with the United States Air Force as an Airman Basic during the Korean War.  He retired from Union Carbide in Bound Brook, NJ as a still operator, after forty-one years of dedicated employment.  He was a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh VFW Post #2290 in Manville and the Polish Falcons Camp in Hillsborough, NJ.  Jerome was an avid baseball fan who enjoyed rooting for the New York Yankees, and during football season he rooted for the New York Giants.  He enjoyed listening to his police scanner, in his free time.

Besides his parents, Jerome was predeceased by his beloved wife, Teresa (Teska) Koshinski in 2006; Brother, Robert Koshinsky; Sister, Monica Carman; and Granddaughter, Tara Marie Koshinski.

Jerome is survived by five loving children, Jerome T. Koshinski, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Nazareth, PA, Frances A. Koshinski of Raritan, NJ, Irene Hudson of Raritan, Daniel M. Koshinski, Sr. and his wife Mary of Allentown, PA and Walter F. Koshinski and his wife Eva of Lebanon Township, NJ.  He will be deeply missed by eight cherished grandchildren, Aaron, Thomas and Brian Koshinski, Tony Lee and Kalynn Hudson, Daniel M. Koshinski, Jr., Brianna and Colby Koshinski; and three adored great grandchildren, Steven and Chase Leoncini, and Jaden Koshinski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, October 27 at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, October 28 from 7:30-8:30 a.m.  Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville.  Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jerome's name to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352.
