Joan's children, Lorraine and Peter, are gratefully indebted to the entire staff of the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice for their loving care and support given to Joan and them during her stay.

Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her devoted husband,  Peter Chester, Jr. on March 15, 2015 and her beloved brother, George "Butch" Botsko, Jr.

Joan is survived by her loving children, Peter Chester III and his wife Patricia of Ware, MA,  and Lorraine and her husband Gordon Engel of Hackettstown, NJ.  She will be deeply missed by her cherished grandson, Gabriel Chester.  She will be missed by her dear siblings, John Botsko and wife Julie of Manville, Philip Botsko and wife Eleanor of Chester, NJ, Rita Oggier of Kulpont, PA and sister-in-law, Christine Botsko of Vernon, NJ as well as many dear nieces and nephews.
