Stockton, NJ- Joan A. (Sturtevant) Kaesler, 73, entered eternal life on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Born in Bound Brook, NJ, daughter of the late Wilbur B. and Elizabeth M. (Mundy) Sturtevant, she resided in Whitehouse Station, Califon, Neshanic Station, and Branchburg before settling to Stockton almost thirty years ago.
Joan was a waitress at Sarah Jane's in Somerville for many years. She had been a member of the Manville Bowling League. She loved rummaging at flea markets and gardening. Joan was very fond of animals, especially her canine friends. She cherished times spent with family; especially her children, grandchildren, and best friend Alma from Florida. Joan was a very caring and loving person!
Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband, Thomas James Kaesler; son, Albert Jay Ketrow; siblings, Virginia Snarkey, Judy Sturtevant, Sonny Sturtevant, Howard Sturtevant; and grandson, Timothy C. Mitchell.
Joan is survived by four loving children, Terry Ketrow, Karen Mitchell, Peggy Merunka, and Thomas James Kaesler, Jr.; dear siblings, Doris Moody and Richard Sturtevant; and many adored grandchildren and precious great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her best friend, Alma and "her honey," Bob Hodgeson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, February 11 from 6-9 p.m. and on Thursday, February 12 from 10-11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12 beginning 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Eckert officiating. Committal words and interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Easton, PA.
