Obituary

Hillsborough, NJ - Joan Kosensky, 74, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at her home with her devoted family at her side. Joan was the daughter of Paul and Genevieve Miller and was born in Scranton, PA.



Joan was a registered nurse, graduating from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Trenton, NJ. She worked in numerous nursing roles, including hospital and geriatric care. Her most recent job was at the Somerset County office of Aging, from which she retired. Joan treated her patients, family and friends with kindness, gentleness and respect. Wayne Kosensky, her husband of 30 years, remained at her side during her illness. Joan's courage and love for her family was her source of strength, her smile always positive and reassuring.



Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her son John.



Joan is survived by her devoted husband Wayne; three loving daughters, Janet Yarka, Jessica DeFeo, and Jina Henn and her three son in-laws. She will also be deeply missed by her brother; Robert Miller and his wife Kathy and Joan's four angels - her beautiful grandchildren; Nicholas, Julianna, Adam and Addison who always made her laugh. She loved each and always made each feel special. Her memory will be cherished by many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, April 27 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.





A funeral liturgy will be held at Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Hillsborough at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, followed by committal words and interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in care of Joan's family to Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835.




Joan has had many angels come into her life. Our loving wife and mother will be in our lives and hearts forever as an angel herself. She'll protect and guide us as we continue our journey to be with her again.
