South Burlington, VT-- Joan (Fazekas) Woytowich, 82, entered into eternal life on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston, VT. A loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was the daughter of the late John and Clara (Benward) Fazekas and was born and raised in South Bound Brook, NJ. She settled to Manville in 1960 where she lived until a recent move to Vermont.

In her early years, Joan worked as a secretary at American Cyanamid in Bound Brook, NJ. Later, after establishing her family, she worked in quality control at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals and Gavin Electronics. Joan had a great sense of humor and a warm heart. She loved to bake, knit, crochet and needlepoint, but she cited her family as her greatest accomplishment.

Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by Frank Woytowich, her beloved husband of fifty-four years; her brothers, George, Edgar, Arthur and James Fazekas and a sister, Emma (Fazekas) Zakovic.

Joan leaves behind two loving children, son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Ruby (Houston) Woytowich of Charlotte, VT and daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Woytowich and John Hauser of Brooklyn, NY; and five cherished grandchildren, Jason Woytowich and his wife Juan, Glenn Woytowich and his wife Allison, Daniel Taylor, Arthur Hauser and Eve Hauser. She also leaves behind two great-granddaughters, Rosie and Zoey Woytowich and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Bound Brook Cemetery, 500 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ 08805 on Saturday, September 17th at 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
