John Matson, Jr., a long standing resident of Piscataway, 78, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.  Born in Somerville, NJ, on January 28, 1945 to Mary nee Holodinski and John Matson, Sr.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Kathryn Koch in 1957 and niece Karen Koch, in 2011.

Special recognition is extended to relatives, friends, and neighbors who had shown their love and support while John endured his long term challenges with lung cancer.

He was a long term employee of American Standard in excess of 40 years in administrative and sales positions.

When called upon, John served his country, honorably, enlisting with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era in 1965.  He served a tour of duty overseas in Korea in addition to assignments at the Pentagon and New Mexico.

A lifelong communicate of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church in Manville, he assisted with many projects including enhancements of church, parish houses, and cemetery properties.

John is survived by his many cousins.
