Manville, NJ- John Kachek, 78, entered eternal life on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Born in St. Clair, PA, son of the late Harry and Mary (Bajas) Kachek, he was a lifelong resident of Manville.
John was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force having faithfully served his country during the Korean War as a staff sergeant 1st class. He worked briefly at RCA in Bridgewater and then created Kachek Dental Lab in Somerville where he was an artisan according to patients facial characteristics. John was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in Manville and a member of the St. Clair Amvets War Vet Club.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his dear siblings, Charles Kachek and Stella Cooper.
John is survived by his beloved wife Theodora (Ackalusky) Kachek; loving children, Austin and Carol Kachek of Manville and Tara and John Andreychak of Hillsborough; three dear sisters, Julia Galida, Ann Popovich, and Rose Terracciano. He will be deeply missed by his adored granddaughters, Hope and Kristen Andreychak.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, November 30 from 7-9 p.m. with the Panikhida at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, December 1 from 9:00-9:30 a.m.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 1 beginning 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral service at Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in Manville. Committal words and interment will be at Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Cemetery in Hillsborough. Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 605 Washington Avenue, Manville, NJ 08835.
