Obituary

Hillsborough, NJ- John F. Kropewnicki, 69, entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at home surrounded by loving family. Born in Manville, son of the late John Anthony and Emma Jean (Kawalec) Kropewnicki, he settled to Hillsborough in 1969.

John was a graduate of Manville High School Class of 1962. Having served his country from 1964-1968, John was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force as a staff sergeant during the Vietnam War. He was a journeyman electrician with IBEW Local 102 in Parsippany. John was a member of The Parish Community of St. Joseph in East Millstone. He had been a member of the Street Dreams Car Club of Manville and was a charter and lifelong member of VFW Post #1481 in Ogden, Utah. John had a passion for restoring and showing antique farm equipment and collector cars. Family was of the utmost importance to John, especially his grandsons.

John leaves behind his beloved wife of forty-four years, Linda (Rustic) Kropewnicki; two loving children, daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Brad Mina of Brookfield, CT and son, Edward Kropewnicki of Lancaster, PA; four dear sisters, Marcia Thibeault, Vivian Davis, Amy Kozik, and Janice Walinchus. He will be deeply missed by two adored grandsons, Garrett Mina and Griffith Mina.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, December 30 from 2-4 p.m. with military honors at 3:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to Haven Hospice, 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08820.
