Manville, NJ- John J. "Whitey" "Paga" Sekely Jr., 84, entered eternal life on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Born in Moscow, PA to the late John and Lauretta (Wolk) Sekely, John was raised in Pennsylvania before settling to Manville in 1960.

John faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War. John had many passions and talents; none more prevalent than telling jokes and making people laugh and feel good. He loved fishing, fly-tying, bowling, gardening and hanging out with friends at the local coffee shops; mainly Mid-Town Deli and more recently, Stop-N-Go in Manville. He loved singing and playing country-western music, was known to be a yodeler and took great pride in the fact that he taught himself to play the guitar while serving in the Army. John was member of VFW Post #2290 in Manville and a communicant of Christ the King Church, Christ the Redeemer Parish.

Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his brothers; Thomas and Paul and sisters; Marie and Joan.

John was a devoted and loving family man and a good friend. John leaves behind his devoted wife of 57 years, Teresa (Antosh) Sekely. He will be greatly missed by his loving daughters; Patricia and husband Tom Dexter and Donna Witt and companion Frank Fedorczyk and his cherished grandson, Neil Witt. He will also be missed by his dear siblings; Fred Sekely and wife Shirley, Loretta Ahlborn, Joseph Sekely and wife Virginia and Pauline Henneforth and husband Ralph, as well as many nieces and nephews.
