Hillsborough, NJ- Joseph David Hernandez, 23, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ. Born in Queens, NY, son of Jose "Joe" and Isabel (Ocasio) Hernandez, he resided in Hillsborough since October 30, 1994.

Sports filled a big part of Joseph's life. He played baseball all of his life. He was a third-degree black belt and enjoyed martial arts. In addition, he was an avid golfer as well as a swimming instructor, lifeguard, and umpire. Joseph had a zest for life, was a great dancer, a Karaoke superstar and was always the life of the party. His education attained him an Associate's degree from Raritan Valley Community College. Joseph touched the lives of many and was also a frequent blood donor. His love for family, friends and human-kind will never be forgotten.

Besides his loving parents, Joseph is survived by his dear sister, Natalie Hernandez of Hillsborough.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, July 24 from 1-5 p.m. with the memorial service taking place at 3:30 p.m. with family and friends officiating. Final disposition will take place on Monday, July 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Franklin Memorial Park's Mausoleum, 1800 New Jersey 27, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
