Obituary

Manville, NJ- Joseph Kristopovich, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 19, 1933 in Dupont, PA, son of the late John and Agnes (Orlowski) Kristopovich, he was a longtime resident of Manville.



A proud honorably discharged veteran, Joe served as a communications operator in Greenland during the Korean War as well as at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, DC from 1952-1956. Joe retired from Grand Union Supermarkets after more than thirty years as a butcher. He was an avid walker whose favorite hobbies included fishing, traveling and watching the New York Yankees with his beloved wife. Joe was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.

Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by his sister Louise.

Joe will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Mary Ann; and three children, Lois and her husband Danny Letzt, Ken Kristopovich and his wife Lori, David Kristopovich and his wife Diane. Joe was very proud of his five grandsons, Justin and Jared Letzt; and Ryan, Alex and Dylan Kristopovich. He is also survived by his sister Geri Cebellis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Dolores and Joe Klimek and sister-in-law Betty McArdle.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Monday, January 27 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 136 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835.
